Question: 89 350 tbi idles rough stalls out?

truck idles poor and surges in park and at idle under load, once up to cruising speed it runs better. I have changed IAC, TPS, ESC, EGR, installed a rebuilt injector pod with injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter, distributor, o2 sensor, Knock sensor, intake gaskets, cleaned tbi unit and replaced base gasket, cleaned & cofirmed good ecm grounds, none of these did much help. I ended up changing the ecm with a reman and it ran awsome for about two days then the problem came back. something burning up the ecm?? any help would be great.

Are you 100% sure all the vacuum lines are hooked up properly and that you have no vacuum/air leaks?

Any check engine light codes?

Have you checked fuel pressure?

yes, vacume lines are correct, I disconnected each line one at a timeand found no change, including the brahe booster line. last time I checked it had a lean exhaust code which it has had before but still ran good. the exhaust is 3" with a dynomax muffler, no cat, stock y pipe & manifolds, this setup has been on for about 3 yrs.

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work.
