Question: Advice Please!!

I just recently bought this car in August and oh my goodness I'm having soo many problems with it. My temp gauge would rise up to the Hot constantly, took it to a shop they said it was the thermostat. We replaced that well it still gets hot. Um, there is also this knocking noise coming from my car that I can't identify what it is and I've got a power steering hose leak. Someone told me that it was gonna cost about $70 to replace and I doubt it's that expensive for a hose. Should I of bought this car, does it sound like it can be fixed or do I need to look for a different vehicle. Advice please!

You need to look for a different mechanic and get a diagnosis and estimate for all of the problems you're describing. If your engine is still overheating, it is your mechanic's job to find out WHY, not just give you back the car and shrug. There are several different reasons why the engine could still be running hot, and you need to have that checked out.

Cartalk.com is a good resource for local mechanic reviews, and so is yelp.com. When you know what is wrong with the car, and how much it will cost, you will have a better idea of whether or not you should keep it.
