Question: air bag light comes on and off

my airbag light keeps coming on stays on for about 2 or 3 minutes and then goes off. i took it to an independant mechanic who hooked it up to a diagnostic machine and it read "PASS SEAT TENSIONER SHORT TO BELT" what does that mean?

Try cleaning the connector with electrical contact cleaner. If the problem still occurs you'll probably need to replace that component.
