Question: Alarm sound

I recently purchased a 2008 and the oil change light came on and I changed the oil. but before doing so an alarm sound is coming from under the steering column. Cant find what it is...pls advise

Is the alarm sound loud (like a security alarm) or quiet? Is it continuous or beeping?
