Question: Alert sound and gauges go haywire, go back to normal and keeps doing that

I've taken the car in for this problem to our trusted garage and they can't find the problem. It seems to be electrical. While driving the car an alert will sound and all the dash gauges with stop working, gas gauge will read empty, odometer stops working, check engine light, security, brake and traction lights will come on. Then the gas and odometer will go back to working then it will do it again. This keeps happening very sparatic and it doesn't affect they way the car drives/works. The car drives and works fine when this happens so I'm thinking it's an electrical issue. What do you think?

Maybe the ignition switch... Main relay, or maybe just a wiring issue or loose connection. Maybe the battery connections?
