Question: Alternator Issues

A non-mechanic replaced the fuel filter on our 1996 Chrysler town and Country LXI mini van and now we're having alternator issues when there were none before. Could there be a connection like an improper ground wire connection or something?

Sounds like it's most likely a coincidence. The fuel filter isn't anywhere near the alternator already parts related to the charging system.

You may need to replace the alternator but start with the full check of the charging system. Don't forget to check critical connections at the battery chassis grounds and alternator or chargeback wire
