Question: Are these recommended repairs needed?

My mother has a 2003 toyota Avalon with approximately 46,000 miles. The dealer recently recommended coolant flush $99.95, timing belt with drive belts $450.00, transmission flush $170.00, fuel injection flush $140.00, and front brake pads$150.00. Are all of these really needed? Thanks.

Brakes are a definite must do if they are worn. Timing belt should be done due to age (not mileage) of the vehicle.

The flushes (for the most part) are a waste of money.

I never recommend any type of flush unless the vehicle has issues, and even then, the flushes very seldom do much.

A basic service (dump , replace filter, and refill) is a good idea for the transmission and possibly the cooling system.
