Question: Automatic choke

where do I hook up the wire for an auomatic choke. The Positive side. I'm putting a cater 4 barrel on my car and it has an auto choke vice manual

The wire the hot wire (red) that goes to the bimetallic coil? If so, it should be hot whenever the engine is running. Here's a link that goes through the set up, your info will be towards the bottom of the page:
