Question: Battery, Alternator or Starter

My car has been starting fine, I drove it to work today and when I went to leave for lunch it would
would not start. We tried to jump it with cables and it still would ot start. The radio and lights work but there is no sound when I turn the ley to start it.

I would check for 12 volts at the starter. It's the same diameter wire going to the starter. If you have 12 volts there. you need a new starter. If not check all your fuses.

I had a short in the wiring in my starter, it sucked the battery power. I had to replace the starter and the battery.
