Question: Brake switch didnt function.

What does that mean and how does it relate to brake failure when the brake pedal wouldn't depress?

The brake switch is for the lamps, the auto transmission computer, and for the ABS system. If it's malfunctioning, replace it.

It shouldn't cause a brake failure or a pedal to stick. This sounds more like a mechanical or hydraulic problem.
