Question: Can a more efficient engine be converted for a 1964 International c1000 pickup

We want to convert over to a more fuel efficient engine with power steering

Anything can be done with enough time and money. You'll certainly spend more than just buying a modern truck however.

If you really want to just upgrade the classic, you'll need to first find someone to do the work. You also need to figure out your expectations. They might not be realistic depending on your time and budget.
