Question: Can a oil drain plug come out after 600 mile

I went to a place and got my oil change, I was driving and the oil light came out, my mechanic said the drain plug was missing, I went to the place that I did my oil change and they are saying it's impossible for that to happens after 600 mile after the service. It's that correct?
