Question: Can getting stuck in deep snow result in a broken cv joint?

My daughter got stuck in an unplowed parking lot. We eventually dug her out with shovels but the next day she was experiencing some problems. I told her to clear the snow from between the tire and her wheel well. She said this seemed to help, but now today she says that her CV joint is broken.

That is common when the car get covered in snow. If the cv boot was ripped it could have froze the cv shaft. That could have broke it. Just replace the half shaft. They only cost around $70.
