Question: Can we put 235/75/R15s on our 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer Edition?

Bought used vehicle. Came with 22" Wheels and Tires. We want to put 235/75/R15 on instead. Can we even though it calls for 255/70/R16?

You should really stick to the stock size - that what the vehicle was designed for.

15 inch rims vs 16s may not fit over the brakes etc. You'll also need to check the wheel offsets, centerbores etc.

A narrower tire may have a load rating that's insufficient for that vehicle.
