Question: Can you give me a ball park figure on the price to bolt a gas pedal back on?

I drive a ford explorer 1996, the gas pedal fell off, we went to a mechanic and he said it will cost 100$, before I give him our money, I want to make sure that this is the ongoing rate. Thanks for your help!

It's really hard to say, depending if it just fell off (loose bolts etc) or broke off (needs to be replaced)

In all, $100 isn't absurd, especially considering most shops charge a minimum of one hour and the hourly rate is usually at least around $100 and up.
