Question: Car died and won't start

I was driving home and got off the interstate. The car stalled when I stopped. I just put a full tank of gas in and put CFOAM in. Drove about 90 miles after that until when it died. I have tried using starting fluid but won't fire. Acts like it wants to though. I have ran a compression test and all cylinders have pressure. I have spark on all 4 cylinders. Just put 4 brand new platinum spark plugs in. Does this sound more like timing or a positioning sensor(Camshaft or Crankshaft)? Does backfire sometimes when down shifting(Manual Transmission).
