Question: Car dies and will start after you let it sit a while

My truck dies and when you turn the key in the on position the gauges do not move engine tries to start . Let it sit a hour or more and turn to the on position the gauges move and then the car will start.

Some Dodges had an issue with the connectors on the back of the cluster causing a problem like you describe. Basically the solder joints crack and you loose connection. Without looking at it, I'd suspect that could be your issue.
