Question: Car has trouble starting, Needs Gas Rev to start.

The starter was changed recently and works great the old starter didn't turn at all, now this one turns and works well.. However a few weeks later I realized it has issues starting again only this time its different. I need tap the gas a bit upon turning the key for it to actually start. Help please.
