Question: car hesitates through acceleration, does lack power until i mat the gas. what could this be?

It usually only does this when it gets low on gas. Its not a all the time occurence. When i shut my car off and turn it back on it runs perfect. Shifts fine and everything just lacks power through 1stand 2nd gear until i put it to the floor like i said.

For all hard starting or engine performance issues, you should always start with the basics. Make sure the tune up items are done and check the charging and starting systems. The engine must have the basics done in order for it to be able to run correctly. Many things can cause this type of problem, and the simplest sometimes get overlooked.
