Question: car over heats

I recently change a head gasket on the car...ran good for a few. Days then it started to over heat again ...seen very very little sign of water on the oil dipstick...when I changed the water pump ..added coolent started the car the temperature Gage showed over heating again but the hoses felt cool...and the metal part that goes from the upper water hose to the head connection was cool also ....

I would replace your thermostat. Then I would us a scan tool to see what temputer the computer is seeing. It could be that your gauge is not reading right.
