Question: car running cold

i f you idle it will go up to about half but as soon as you get back out on the road it goes right back down to cold , i have changed the thermostat and the over flow for the rad is reading between the low and full the oil is NOT milky and there is no leaks around the heads please help

Make sure there is no air in the system and verify with a temperature probe that the temperature sending unit is accurate. The problem you're describing does sound like a thermostat, but you can test with an infrared temp gun to see if the thermostat is opening and if the temp sending unit is reading properly.
