Question: car stopped working properly

I was driving and car stalled twice and finally i started it again and it sounded like a motorcycle and started shaking. it has 95k miles and is in pretty good shape. what could be wrong with it?? it still turns on i just cant drive it with out it stalling out everytime i stop.

Is the check engine light on? The problem you're describing could be a low idle speed setting, and cleaning the IAC (idle air conrol) valve is a good place to start. But at the mileage you're at, if you haven't had a thorough tune-up in the last several years, now would be a good time to get that taken care of--it would also cover much of the troubleshooting ground for the issue you're having.
