Question: car will not start

will turn over fine for 5 seconds or so then it is like it loses power have to let off key and try to start again will repeat takes multiple times to start any clue?? check engine light is on

Check the codes in the computer. That will tell you what system your problem is in. But I think you have a problem with the theft system. You mite have to replace the ignition switch
