Question: car will not trun over

My car was ran out of gas. 5 gallons was put back in the tank. but it will not start. I have left the key on for 5 min. truned the key off an on a few times and have taken off the battrey cable, was elsa can i do

If you are saying it wont "turn over" you are saying that it wont crank, or that the starter isn't working. I think you are just a bit confused on the terminology and you actually mean that it does crank (turn over etc) but wont RUN.

If you ran out of fuel, you might have killed the fuel pump. Check fuel pressure while cranking.

If it actually wont crank, check the starter, battery and connections etc.
