Question: Car won't move out of Park

Have tried moving wheel - it is not locked - but the gear shift will not move from Park into reverse or drive.

Your brake interlock could be bad. Check to see if the brakes light work. If they don't you need to fix that. Then it should go into gear. If the lights work it could be the soleniod is not unlocking the shifter. You will need to check the shifter soleniod for 12 volts. You will have to take the steering columb apart. If your modale has a floor shifter you will need to take the center console apart. Both could be big jobs. You mite want to take it into a shop.
