Question: Car won't start

My suv will not start by key but will run just fine when turned on manually with a screw driver directly to the starter. It has been having trouble for weeks but would always turn over until about a week ago. I tightened the wires to the starter, replaced the ignition switch, as well as the ignition cylinder and key. At a loss as to what to do next. Thanks

Sounds like the feed between the ignition switch and the starter has an open in it. You should test to see if you have power at the starter when you turn the switch to the crank position.
