Question: Catalytic Converter Repair $1150

My catalytic converter is going bad. The mechanic said that replacing it will also require replacing two sensors that will cost $231 and $156. I also have an oil leak that the mechanic did not give an estimate for fixing. Is this worth fixing or should i begin looking for another car.

That's a lot of money to put into a 2000 vehicle, but the choice is up to you. You have to decide if you want to keep the car, or buy a new car and have a payment.

For me, I'd fix it as I don't like car payments. but it really is your choice.
