Question: changed 96 mustang ecu from automatic to a manual, now it will not start?

Tranny was switch by previous owner. i noticed the ecu had not yet been switched as well. So i bought the nessacary ecu and installed but when i tried to start my car it would not start. it does crank and even once started for just a second. please tell.me how to fix this problem

Did it start before you swapped the ECU?
