Question: check engine light and no high idle at all, barely runs in park

check engine light on checked with small scanner...says evap leak

when start car in cold weather or hot weather no high idle and like putts not a normal run of idle

Check for vacuum leaks, clean the IAC (idle air control) valve and throttle body. Post the code for more info on dealing with the evap leak.
