Question: check light and maintiance lights keep coming back on after resetting

need suggestion on fix. Some have suggested bulb removal and other have suggested cut wires to lights. Car has after mkt radio and antenna stays fully extended. Red wire has 12 volts with out key on or off. removing fuse takes away draw. Used Power Probe with harness disconnected and applied 12 volts to white with with no responce to lowering the antenna. Try to determine if it sound like its burnt open.

There are two questions here correct? How to get the check engine light turned off, and how to get your antenna down.
Starting with the check engine light - Have you had the car's computer checked to see what codes are causing the light to come on?
On the antenna- I'm no expert at stereos but I seem to recall that most aftermarket stereos have a blue wire that is the switched power to signal the antenna to go up or down.

This is not the check engine light. It ls the CHECK light between th speedo and tack [below the VDO emblem]. As to the wires to the antenna there are two wires in the trunk that appear to be original {1 red and 1 white] I do not have a wiring diagram to verify. Antenna does not funtion up or down. but does have good reception.Common sense says there should not be power with key off. Am I wrong

Thanks for the help

Car Brakes: How Do You Know When to Change Them?

By Zach Bowman For those who suffer a daily commute through heavy traffic, your vehicle's braking system can bring thousands of pounds of metal, plastic and empty Starbucks cups to a stop hundreds of times before you get to work. It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
