Question: cold radiator

My radiator is cold after traveling approx. 20 miles. Is this a sign that the thermostat is not functioning. and is it ok to drive the car a few miles in this condition?

Sounds like a stuck open thermostat or maybe a bad sensor for the gauge.

This will accelerate wear on the engine and waste gas, but you can drive it for a little while like this.
