Question: Compass on 2007 Chrysler

Is the compass itself in the overhead or is there a sensor somewhere else?

The module for this is in the overhead console. My manual doesn't tell me if the compass is in the module, but I assume it probably is.

Thanks. I have a 2007 Chrysler T&C with the cnmpass, and a 2005 Dodge Caravan without. I'd like to buy the overhead console on eBay and add it to my Dodge. Is it possible or would there be wiring missing?

The car MIGHT be prewired... Hard to say for sure without checking.

It goes without saying that these pieces wear out, but they do so slowly, meaning you may not notice they need attention until ...
