Question: control module

Mechanic says we need PRNDL control module, but that we would have to find it at a junkyard. In looking at online resources, we are at a loss as to what by what name this part is really identified. Cannot locate anything. The car problem is that when putting the car in gear, you cannot see on the dash whether the car is in the correct gear. The car is running fine at the moment, after recent service for electrical problem.

You need a new istrument cluster. Have seen that problem a few times. The light bulb in the cluster burns out. The only way to fix it is a new cluster.
