Question: coolant leaking.. running hot

I have replaced the thermostat.. car is still leaking coolant and running hot.

To find the leak you’ll need to perform a coolant system pressure test. You need a special pressure tester that fits on your coolant cap to do this test. Even a small leak usually will show very quickly. Most shops have one and shouldn’t charge very much to do it for you.
This will ensure you don't replace unneeded components chasing the leak.

As a side note, NEVER open the cooling system when it's hot, as hot coolant can cause severe burns.
