Question: cost of valve job

engine just recently starting pecking for no reason ,gets driven once a week to and from work just to keep the batteries up. never driven over 45 miles an hour ,i only live 1 mile from work.i;ve owned it bfor about 1 year.always ran great. oil has never been low .

If all you're driving it is less than 1 mile at a time, the engine is never warming up and the vehicle can develop problems. You're better off driving it less, and an least long enough for it to warm up.

You may want to get some more diagnostics done before having a valve job. But you can get an estimate for it on the 'repair cost calculator' link.
