Question: Dash power

I own a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, and there are a couple of electrical issues I need help with. First of all, the headlights and the dashlights will flicker while I am driving. Secondly, the radio and the 12v cigarette lighter are not getting power. I have a little mechanical experience, but little to no electrical experience.

The headlights flickering could be the headlight switch, dimmer switch or wiring in between--often a bad connection or poor contacts in a switch causes flickering.

The radio/cig lighter could be a fuse or relay. If you get a repair manual with a wiring diagram, that should help you figure out what the circuit has in it and some insight into how to test it.
