Question: Dashboard Brake light comes on

The red brake light on the dashboard comes on from time to time while I am driving. After a few seconds it goes out agian. I rarely use the hand brake, but I checked, and it is OK, not engaged. What's up?

Your brake fluid is low in the brake master cylinder. There is a sensor that is connected to the brake light. So check your front brake and fluid level in the master cylinder

Thank you. I will take the car in for a regular oil change on Saturday and pass this info on to the technician to check the brake fluid.
