Question: Dashboard lights

I purchased a 2003 Aurora with 73K miles in July 2003. I love this car except for its dim dashboard lights. I turned the dashboard light dimmer all the way on, but the lights are still very dim. Also, the starter seems to slightly "drag," although the car has no problem starting within one or two seconds. Is this typical of an alternator problem or other electrical problem?

Could be. I'd have the starting and charging systems tested to be sure. the dim lights could also be from a defective dimmer switch (part of the headlamp switch)
