Question: Delay/lag when hitting gas pedal

When I hit the gas, the RPMS start to go up, the. Drop for a second, then start to go back up again until it changes gears. This is more noticeable when pulling out as the car will start to go, then stop accelerating for a second, then continue to accelerate correctly.

Sounds like the transmission might be slipping a little. Check the engine and transmission computer for fault codes to be sure.

Did you check the transmission fluid level and condition?
