Question: do i need a new battery?

My car sound like it wants to crank but it dont and I just got a new fuel pump do I have to feel my tank up first?how much gas do I need and do I need to buy a new battery if mines not giving any fie

I would check the battery cables. They are know for getting corrosion on them and causing a no crank. If they are good. Try a jump start. If it still does not crank with a jump start you need a starter. If it crank and does not start. I would take carb cleaner and spray it into the intake system. If it starts you have a fuel issue. If it does not it's a spark issue. No spark most of the time will be the cranks sensor or ignition module.
