Question: do i need to go to a dealership to have service

took my car to Nalley Lexus for recall issues. they state I need the following - a/c filter w/ Evap flush $150, oil change $55.53, battery $185 ( i replaced last fall), air induction service $230, drive belt $175 and rack and pinion $1655. Should I price around for these services?

I would get a second opinion. Some of that looks like "should be" or "recommended" work, and may not be completely necessary. It may be all those services are needed, but for that much money, I'd have a second shop look at it.

And if you just replaced your battery last year, wherever you bought it should warranty it. Most batteries have a 4 or 5 year prorated warranty will a full replacement in the first year or 12K miles.
