Question: Do I need to have my brake fluid drained and replaced every three years?

I took my Honda to a Honda dealership for an oil change and the service advisor told me that I needed to have my brake fluid drained and replaced (at a cost of $130) and that I should have this done every 3 years. I've had this car for 15 years and no one ever mentioned this.

Brake fluid is hydroscopic, meaning it absorbs water from the atmosphere etc. After 2-4 years it should be replaced as a preventative measure. If it's never been replaced, replace it.
