Question: Does this car have an automatic shutoff sensor if oil level gets too low?

Car died while driving and wold not restart. noticed that there was a small amount of oil on the ground. oil was very low, hardly even on the dipstick. just had an oil change 2 days prior.

No. Check the engine computer for faults etc. If it ran without enough oil or low on oil pressure the engine may have been damaged.
