Question: Does this make common sense also suggest replacing air and cabin filters, replace brake fluid and De

2009 Subaru impreza 23,000 mi
Dealer says rear brakes 95% worn and car needs rear pads and rotors. Est $330. Claims previous people did not do right service. Same dealer since new. Serviced every 3000 miles

It is possible the last repair the pads were not installed correctly if they are rear disc brakes. Some have a piston that is turned clockwise to compress it to fit the new pads. There are small bumps on the end of the piston to fit int the pad. If they aren't set correctly they push the pad on all the time and the pads wear out much too fast.

If all the work was done at this dealer, they should take care of it for you if it was caused by human error of one of their technicians.
