Question: Driving fast with AC on a terribly bad smell fills the cabin when shutting ac it disappears,what cou

when driving to a 100 mph and above the light IMA goes on and a real unbearable smell enters into the cabin especially when the AC is on which i expect is entering from the AC opening .what could be the reason and how to solve it?

If it was a dead animal or mold smell, your venting system has an occupant... but if the smell was more of a chemical, it could be your battery overheating. The IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) light on is a cue, have the codes scanned to see what information it has stored.

And I'm surprised the a/c works at 100mph. You might want to try turning it off for more horsepower, and to see if it affects the symptoms at all.

Thank you very much for responding,i really appreciate it ,but if you don't mind i'd like to ask if the battery is overheating ,do you think it is fixable?or do we have to replace the battery?and if so ,what could be the cost? Thank you H. Bittar
