Question: electrical problem?

My car starts up fine but when I turn my headlights on and press the gas my temp gauge goes all the way up and the lights cut off then my car cuts off but will start right back up

Check your ignition switch. Then have your alternator check for proper voltage. The alternator could be putting out to many A/C volts
