Question: Engine light On / Gas milage low

I noticed that when I put gas in my car it the gas runs out faster and I dont even get 200 miles to the full tank whats wrong with that? I now have a check engine light that came on nd I also noticed that the car feels like it wants to die out but when in park you can't hear the car running its very quit so what could be wrong with it.

If the check engine light is on, I'll need the code to help you figure out what is happening.

Since you think you fuel economy is bad, I'd suspect it will be a senors issue, however,

For all hard starting or engine performance issues, you should always start with the basics. Make sure the tune up items are done and check the charging and starting systems. The engine must have the basics done in order for it to be able to run correctly. Many things can cause this type of problem, and the simplest sometimes get overlooked.
