Question: engine misfire after replacing injector and plugs and wires

check engine light came on. hooked up snapon scanner and found #2 cylinder misfire. started checking using scanner and repair manual and found bad injector. replaced injector and plugs and wires. no light now but still has a miss in acceleration.

Perform a power balance test to see if it is still the same cylinder causing the miss. If it is, do a compression test on the cylinder. It may be a mechanical problem.

Also, check fuel pressure as it may be low and is why the injector failed (overheated).

checked spark on #2. found none (wish i'd have done that first). got a new ignition coil and the miss is now gone. thank you
