Question: engine replacement

Valve stem or seal replacement to stop the oIl leak. Gray smoke for 20 to 30 seconds in the morning and evenings after the car has set for awhile. Need an estimated cost to move forward as to whether to keep it buy another. It is a great car.

The cost of a new engine will be around $4000 and up. If the heads just nee to be done you are looking at $2000 to $2500. But I would make sure that the lower end of the car is in good shape before I fixed the heads.
