Question: Engine runs roughly when warmed up.

After 5 minutes idle, Temp light comes on, engine sputters, idling roughly. When driving the car, engine losses power, coughs/sputters and Temp light comes on. Tried fuel injector clearner, topped off coolant but problem persists. Engine performace woes began after refueling from about 1/8 tank. A reasonable guess suggests rust/water clogging the fuel filter or line but I'm not a mechanic. In your opinion, what could the problem be?

If the temp light is on, you may have an overheat issue that needs to be fixed asap as severe engine damage can happen if you run it in an overheated condition. And that could also be why you have the other symptoms, so it should be looked at first.
